Head Start (HS) is a comprehensive child development program offering linguistically and culturally appropriate health, education and social services to low-income families of preschool age children. Our programs are designed to offer a wide variety of experiences within a safe and nurturing environment that encourages individuality and stimulates significant growth and development for every child. Child-initiated activities and hands-on learning experiences are the fundamental elements within our curriculum. Weekly thematic units provide a variety of new ideas and activities so that each child is exposed to the world around them. It is our philosophy that each child should learn at their own pace by participating in age- appropriate activities which enable each child to discover their potential. We have twenty-three preschool classes (six of which are double session).
